Log Your Drinks

Record an alcohol session by selecting the type of drink, how many you had, and when the session started. Health Story tracks everything from that point — calculating how your BAC evolves as time passes and alcohol is metabolised. Logging takes seconds and gives you a clear picture of what you've consumed.

Real-Time BAC Calculation

Health Story uses the Widmark formula to estimate your current blood alcohol content based on what you've drunk, when you started, your weight, and your sex. Your BAC updates in real time as alcohol is metabolised, giving you a running estimate of where you stand and what it means for your body right now.

Driving Limit Awareness

Different countries and regions have different legal BAC limits for driving — 0.08%, 0.05%, and even 0% in some places. Health Story lets you set your regional limit as a reference point so you can see how your estimated BAC compares. This is a rough guide only. When in doubt, don't drive.

Beyond the numbers, Health Story gives you plain-language insight into how your current BAC level might be affecting you — coordination, reaction time, judgment, and more. Understanding what alcohol is doing to your body in real terms is more meaningful than a percentage alone.

Custom Alcohol Types

The default list covers beer, wine, whisky, vodka and more — but every drink is different. Add your own alcohol types with a custom name, ABV percentage, and serving size so your logs always reflect exactly what you're drinking. Edit or remove types at any time to keep your list accurate and personal.

Sober Streak

Not drinking is worth tracking too. Health Story lets you maintain a sober streak — counting consecutive days without alcohol. The longer your streak, the stronger the motivation to keep it going. A simple, honest measure of consistency that works whether you're taking a break, doing Dry January, or making a longer-term change.
